The Eight New Robot Masters

Dual Override introduces eight new Robot Masters. Two have been officially revealed - Twinkle Girl and Jet Man - and the full lineup surfaced through a Steam achievement leak in September 2026. The eighth was decided by a public Capcom design contest, won by Cleanser Man. Robots built by Dr. Wily carry the DWN prefix, continuing his own numbering convention, so the new cast is numbered independently from the classic masters.

Twinkle Girl - DWN-089

The first Robot Master revealed, and the one shown in the Gamescom gameplay trailer. Twinkle Girl is a budding robot entertainer whose dream of stardom went wrong, and she unleashes firework-themed attacks. Her Special Weapon is a charge attack that doubles as an aerial dash. She is the clearest example of the new master's personality writing in the series - a robot with an ambition rather than a weapon platform - and the firework motif means her stage is likely built around timed detonations rather than steady fire.

Jet Man - DWN-090

Revealed at Tokyo Game Show 2026, Jet Man is a transforming Robot Master who shifts between standard robot form and a high-speed aerial mode. He commands a wing of fighter jets across multi-layered vertical stages, harassing you from several angles at once with missile volleys, close-range strafing runs and small drone units.

His Special Weapon is the Jet Stinger, a piercing high-velocity shot that punches through enemy formations and breaks breakable barriers. In its normal form the Jet Stinger stops on impact; as a Power Shot it pierces enemies and knocks them into others, which is a substantial difference in a crowd. His Area 3 carries a challenge condition called Top Aviator - reaching the boss room after defeating all enemies riding jet platforms.

The rest of the lineup

The remaining six were identified through the achievement leak rather than official reveals, so treat their names as reported and their details as unknown:

The returning masters

Eight new masters is only half the picture, because the stage structure adds an R Robot Master in Area 2 - a replica of a past game's boss with an R appended to the name. Astro Man R, drawn from Mega Man 8, is confirmed in that role, and Astro Man himself appears briefly. Fans have read the word "Dual" in the title as pointing at a pairing of eight new and eight returning bosses, and the achievements also confirm appearances from Bass, Wily the Great and an "Ultimate Rival". The final boss has not been officially confirmed.

What is not confirmed

No complete official list exists yet. The leak names the eight new masters and is consistent with the two official reveals, but Design numbers beyond Twinkle Girl and Jet Man, Special Weapons for the unrevealed six, and each master's stage theme are not confirmed by Capcom. Any site presenting the leaked list as fully official is overstating it - and the same goes for the "eight returning bosses" theory, which is inference from the title rather than a confirmed structure.
